My daughter has a genetic abnormaility that is robbing her of both sight and sound. So far I have not been able to find help on how to communicate with her - she has just a little left. She will lose even that and I'm trying to set in motion habits that will help along the way as well as when both are lost.. My frustration is that lost sight people want to teach her how to live by sound and lost sound people want to help her live by sight. HOW do I communicate with her when she is losing/has lost both? How can she communicate with me? How can she do normal things? So far our doctors have no ideas to steering us to help. Any books or articles or . . . HELP!
