Hi first time on this web site fortunately i have been diagnosed and received treatment for conns. I have had an opp to remover tumor last Oct but now I have low blood pressure which is a bit of a pain but i'm not on any medication now which is great. Now my younger sister has now been diagnosed with conns and was wondering if anybody else has heard of siblings both with conns

Hi Maureen33, congratulations on the successful surgery and no medication! I've got Conn's also and am currently undergoing testing to see if surgery is an option for me - I'm hoping so.

I've read that bilateral adrenal hyperplasia is often familial, but haven't seen anything definitively showing that tumors are. However, there was a recent Yale study that showed a genetic mutation for Conn's - here's one of the recent articles about it: http://www.latimes.com/health/hc-weir-hypertension-0210-20110210,0,6920279. column - so, it's highly possible that the gene could run in families.
