My hubby is deployed as well and we are expecting our third child in November. It has been quite a battle however we email and speak daily on the phone.....hang in there and feel free to remain in contact! Wishing you all the BEST!
hi how are you...
my name is tamara and i'm 18 weeks pregnant
how is pregnancy so far?
i have been in ur shoes before as with my daughter my husband was deployed when i was 19weeks and i went through the rest of the pregnancy, birth, and first 2 monthes 2 weeks and 2 days with out him. including a couple trips to the er with her because she was having trouble breathing and had a high fever. but i do have to say that day that he saw her for the 1st time it was byond believable and amaising. im now expecting my 2nd in feb/mar of 2010 and if he deploys again he will deploy in feb and may miss the birth again.
so i fully understand what u are going through and if u need or want to talk about any thing im here.
Thanks! I can't believe how hard it is to connect with other spouses etc. I've had a few trips to the ER during the first and even early 2nd trimester because of some bad bleeding. Everything is ok but I had to quit my job and move in with my parents until recently. Joshua will be home on leave when I'm like 33 weeks but he will miss the birth and won't be home for at least 3 months after.
I just felt the baby kick on the outside. Grandpa got to feel it this morning. Pretty amazing!
Not yet but my husband is deploying in a little under 2 weeks :(.
Hey there and welcome! This community is so wonderful . . . and I hope you find all the support and friendship you're looking for. You've already found some other moms who 'get it!' You may get a response from "staceymomma," but if you don't, do a search..her husband is deployed in Irag and she's doing it all, including caring for their child with cerebral palsy and worrying about her brother who was in a terrible car accident. She's a real inspiration.
You hang in there and be sure to let us know how things are going with you.

Hello. My husband is in Iraq right now. This is his second time there, 3rd deployment overseas. If you want to talk or anything I'm here. I'll send you a friend request and we can chat when both of us have the time... I know it can be a little overwhelming and hectic sometimes.
*(Thank you Ann, that made my day. To know that I'm helping others makes it all worth while!)*
