Thinking about medical costs

0 Recommendations

I just gave both of my daughters their Prevacid pills for the day. I have this thought once in awhile "Im giving them a $6 dollar pill" Its crazy to really think about the cost when its comes to kids let alone w/ ones that have medical issues. Both have up coming Dr and specialist appts. I try not to think about the cost cause if I did it would just get me depressed. Anyone else having those fleeting moments of "ugh" feelings w/ medical cost?

I did for the first couple of years. Between all the doctor check ups and weigh ins (had to make a co-pay each time of course), the meds, the travel, the gas. Sometimes it's too overwhelming to think of the cost so I focus on the result - my son.

I was adding up all Noah's medical bills and so far he is close to $100,000 and he really hasn't been in the hospital too much 2 times. His NICU bill for 7 days was $48,000.00, that was JUST the NICU, not his specialist that saw him, x ray, labs....He's an expensive lil thing, but what do u do! Thank God for insurance!!!!
