I thought that it would be fun to start a thread where we could post pictures of children.
IansMommy started embedding pictures in her threads and responses. It is neat to see what her son looks like!
Thank you to DadOf22w6d and dustarella for explaining how to embed photos on these threads!
(1) You have to have your photo stored somewhere online. Photobucket is a good free storage site, if you don't already have one: http://photobucket.com/
(2) You have to copy the URL (http://____) of the photo you want to use. NOTE: Photobucket will give you a URL for message boards.
(3) Paste that URL into this code: <img src="URL GOES HERE">
(4) When you post, the system will recognize the code as a picture. You'll see it in the "preview" if it has been done correctly.

Henry was born April 2007 at 25 weeks weighing 1 lb 3.65 ozs. He stayed in the NICU 109 days.
Here he is yesterday at 17.5 months adjusted before lunch:

Mr Ian's turn again! We love pictures! This is our first baby. Born at 30weeks 2 days on 08/08/08. 3lbs 1.4oz 16 inches due to my severe pre-e. I gained 113 pounds, 80 in the last month, 60 in the last 3 days.
Fave NICU PIC he's about 5 days old, so 31 weeks:

Oh my gosh Katek - he is SOOOO CUTE!!! What a handsome guy!!!!!! Watch out Mommy - the girls will be after him when he gets older:)

Henry is just the adorable character I imagined! I love the food series- it would make a great story board.
Gavin and Ian- I love your pictures too!
I just did a bunch of then/ now for a scrapbook... here are some:
1 week:sepsis around the mouth
1 yr 1 week: avocado around the mouth
1 month: tiny on the cloth diaper
1 year: huge on the cloth diaper
2 months: unaware of the "lovebug"
1 year: lovin' the lovebug
3 months: swallowed by his snake
1 year: busting out of his snake
6 months: leaving the hospital
1 year: leaving oxygen

My favorite NICU picture - Dale in the spotlight (and holding my finger)! Born @ 25 weeks weighing only 1 pound, 4 ounces.

There are some real miracle babies on this site! It's good to see everyone going well. It was hard to think they would be free of the web of wires and tubes, and be home and happy.

What a great idea, katek! I love seeing photos of all your kiddos who I read so much about all the time. Why haven't we been doing this all along? I know there's a way to do video. Maybe we'll have to do that next.

I will figure this out and do it soon...Jacob just woke up. I LOVE this - thanks so much Kate! All of your babies are adorable. I hope it will be okay of I include a couple of pictures of Samuel...he is our twin that did not survive. He is such a part of Jacob and I would really like to put his pictures up. He was tiny, tiny, tiny but beautiful!

Absolutely! By all means, please include Samuel.
I love everyone's pictures. One of the NICU nurses once said that all preemies pretty much look alike. Another nurse said no, they are very different.
Looking at everyone's pictures, I'm inclined to agree more with the second nurse. There are very subtle hints in the NICU pictures which show up as beautiful traits in the post-NICU pictures. It is really neat to see!

Michaela and her twin brother Luca were born on 8 May 2007 at 23w,6d weighing 1lb,6oz. She is our little survivor. Here she is wearing her Daddy's wedding band as a bracelet at 14 days old...
My favorite NICU pic - She loved to sleep on her tummy and hug something. Here she is at 17 days old...
Michaela with Mommy and Daddy at one year old...
She is very independent and likes to do everything by herself...
She always has a smile on her face and we are still amazed by her every day...

These pictures bring a smile to my face each time I look at them - I find myself checking this discussion several times throughout the day! All of the babies on here are so adorable. I am so thankful that they are all doing so well! Please keep the pictures coming... :)
