night feeds

I was just wondering when you guys stopped night feeds? My son is 11 months actual and 9 months adjusted. he stopped having night feeds at 7 months corrected then we went on vacation for a month in NM and he had a very hard time with that and would only eat at night when it was quiet and calm. since we have been home he is eating great again during the day but still wakes up every 30 min to 3 hours to eat. I have stopped feeding him at night. but its been about a week and he is still doing it. he also did have a sinus infection and cut his top two teeth so that may have played a part in it but its been a month since we have been back. any ideas???

Cute picture of your son, bekamom!

My son is 15.5 months adjusted. He still gets a night time bottle before bed, but he hasn't woken up for feeds during the night since he was 7 months adjusted (except once).

At 7 months adjusted, we started co-sleeping with our son. That's what I think has helped him sleep through the night. Unfortunately, it also means that he believes the king sized bed is his...

thanks, he doesn't usually take a bottle before bed he quit that awhile ago. He goes to bed fine. We just lay him down and he talks for about 2 min.. and is out. but he can't stay asleep anymore. he used to sleep 10 hours straight through. My husband thinks its just his teeth. we will see I guess. thanks again

I agree with your husband. Every time my first son cut a tooth, he ended up with an ear infection. And since you have mentioned the sinus infection, I really believe that the teething and sinuses are making it diff to sleep. I would try childrens Advil/Ibuprofen before bed and ask your Dr about maybe even some Benadryl-helps sleep and helps babies congestion some. Hope you all get some sleep soon!

My son stopped night feeds at about 7 months adjusted as well, and then about a month and a half later he started waking up at night again. I tried rocking him back to sleep, and that worked for a few nights, but he got so worked up that I finally started feeding him at night again and couldn't get him to sleep through the night again until he was 12 months adjusted.

thanks guys for all your comments I appreciate it. My son actually slept from 8pm to 7 am this morning. I fed him extra dinner and then gave him some baby motrin. Hopefully he will continue..... : )
