Losing Weight!

0 Recommendations

Oh yes, the dreaded question! It's been five months now since I had my daughter and I still have 15+ pounds on me. People keep telling me it will take time for the weight to come off. I did lose around 8 lb so far, and the rest doesn't seem to want to go away.

Anyone have suggestions on how to lose the stubborn weight? I have not started working out yet. My pre preggo clothes are all packed away and I am dying to fit in to them again!

Help!!

Exercise Diabetes Hypothyroidism

It took me 18 months and a diabetes scare to finally give myself the "boost" to lose the last 20 pounds of baby weight. I gained 70, and 50 of it was gone within 3 months, but this last 20 was brutal. The good news is, once I set my mind to it, I peeled off 12 pounds in 10 weeks, but still have 8 to go.

My secret. Eating healthy, and taking long walks. I have been eating a lower carbohydrate, lean meat, high fiber vegetable diet. Watching quantities. And absolutely no high glycemic index breads - this means, no white bread, no pizza, no pasta. But whole grain wraps, whole grain bread, etc. I have tons of recipes I could share with you. I read the "South Beach Diet" book and am doing my own version of it, but for me, it's a lifestyle change, not just to lose weight. I haven't been very hungry at all, and feel great. I highly recommend this approach, as it is the only one that has ever worked for me. Good luck!

Yea I'm worried about that right now and after I have my second baby. I gained 30 lbs with my son, and didn't lose a single pound after he was born!!! I lost about 5 lbs. in the first 4 months and I was pumping and then lost another 10 (depending on the scale LOL) by june, so that was after 6 months. Well went on vacation and gained 4 lbs. and we got pregnant with our second baby. I've been eating really healthy and haven't gained a single lb. yet and I'm just about 19 weeks now =) So I'm assuming I'm loosing body fat cause the baby is growing good!

Go to the gym and walk on the treadmill or try an eliptical and just eat healthy. Don't eat fast food, eat smaller portions and eat small snacks in between, that should raise your metabolism. Good luck!

i can tell you eactly how to loose the weight.

come spend a few days with my 4!

lol. My weight FELL off of me within weeks of delivery... i think the nicu scares kept my mind off of eating. don't get me wrong i ate, but on the run and i HAVE NOT stopped moving since the epidural wore off! But serisouly exercise exercise!

I joined weight watchers when my LO was 9months old and lost all 40lbs in 7 months. Now I struggle to keep it off...yikes! LOL
Good Luck!

I gained a scary 80 lbs with my LO. YAY! I have hypothyroidism, so it came on quick and is hard as crap to take off. During the first month, I only took off 20 lbs :( I am a breastfeeding mom and I wasn't sure how much food I should intake. I would eat too little and lose weight, but my milk supply would decrease. So I'd eat more, gain weight, but my milk supply would be better. I didn't know what to do! So I joined Weight Watchers. Lemme tell you, the program is awesome. They even have a set diet for breastfeeding mommies. It is really easy to follow. The first week, I lost 4 lbs. Two thumbs up.
