we're scheduled to get a gtube on tuesday. my daughter's getting a mic-key. my DH is really nervous and says this is a bad time to go to a hospital (h1n1), so now i'm getting nervous. i absolutely hate the hospital (unless it's for someone other than my daughter)! i just know i'm going to question everyone who comes near my baby!!!!! they've given us an estimate of 4 days in hospital, but after 195 days in hospital i just wanna get the heck out!!but it will be nice to get rid of this ng tube.

I had a similar situation at the beginning of october. My daughter was having the nissen surgery to fix her reflux. I hated the fact that she was going back to the hospital especially during the flu and rsv season and just because they aren't in her room, it is still in the air. Just make sure you wash your hands and that is about all you can do.

well my son has the nissen and the gtube surgery but he had it done while he was still in the hospital. It works wonders and I love it. The surgery will go well just be positive about it. When he is getting feed me, his father and his at home nurse are the only people allowed to feed him at this tyme. We wash our hands and have germx around the house and constantly wash our hands . But I love the mickey button and so convient to me. Let me know if you need any help or info about my experience with it I'll be glad to share. Hope everything goes well
