0 Recommendations

My huband and I have been trying for a baby for a year now. I was dignosed with having a Bicornuate Uterus in January of 2009. Since then I have been on Basil Body Temp charts, and taking 50MG Clomid, 1MG Estradial, 200 MG Prometrium, fowolling the doctors direction. However, I am becomming less and less hopefull that this is going to happen for us. Can anyone, please, give me hope that I will one day be a mommy.

Surgery Clomid Endometriosis Infertility Pregnancy

You might want to try the resolve boards. There is one for people going through fertility treatments. I think "finding a resolution to infertility" is the name. I dont have a bicornate uterus but it took me two and a quarter years to get pregnant with my son. You also have a lot of options after clomid assuming you want to and can afford it. So don't give up!

I had a friend who tried for 5yrs to get pregnant... she also did clomid and some other meds too. She also had surgery to repair damage from severe endometriosis. When she stopped the fertility treatments she got pregnant. After that it was like her body went into "mama mode"! She popped out two more babies in less than 5yrs! Good luck and don't give up hope!

I do have a bicornuate uterus. I was able to get pregnant, but couldn't hold onto a pregnancy. It did take us 2 years, but it happened! I did send you a message with a link to a board specifically for bicornuate uterus. There is also some very helpful information on there!

Don't give up and keep exploring every avenue. Many women are misdiagnosed with bicornuate and actually have a septate. Have the doctors talked to you about surgery?

Yes I have talked with my doctor about surgery. I had a dye test done back in February and that's when they told me then the doctor put me on the meds uping the dose every 2 months. If I don't concieve by January then the doctor will do surgery. I have expressed my impatience to him and told him I don't want to be doing this for another 10 years.
