Preparing for home ...

It seems like forever since I've posted. Of course I've been busy but so happy with the progress Zephan is making! Yes, he is still at the rehab hospital ... a little longer than expected but the extended time has helped with last minute preparations that need to be made.

My family is struggling so badly financially and I fight every moment of the day just to keep my head up and a smile on my face ... if no other reason than my children. It seems I get so much of my strength from holding him, nursing him, watching him watch me ... he stares at me with a strange familiarity in his eyes, like saying "I know you Mommie" and when he nurses now he grabs and pats at me as if to say it will be OK ... these things are what get me through the day. I don't know where the next cent is coming from but I live for that specific moment of the day!

Zeph is about 11 pounds now, still requiring supplemental o2 (1/8 liter), eating VERY well {he will let the staff know he wants to eat and want to eat NOW, yet is so patient with me}, he's meeting the developmental milestones for his corrected age, and the best part of it all is when he coos for me and no one else! :)

That's all for now ... promise to update again soon. I think of you all (You know who you are ... my loyal readers) I really would like your mailing addresses so that we can send a holiday card and make you OFFICIALLY part of the family ... LOL

Be well my old (and new) friends ... until the next edition ...
