My finance has a new injury C4/C5 and I thought we were doing okay with the situation or as best as anyone can handle it but I was informed last night by his mother that he has high anxiety and is talking about not wanting to live. He is very upset and wants to die. She says he was in a frantic state for three hours yelling at the top of his lungs say he wants to die. He is in Rehab but he only has a month left and they are saying if he can't get ahold of his feelings they are going to put him in a nursing home. I have no power because we were only engaged and not married. Now his mother says he has to live with her for financial reasons. He is 31 years old. I have listened to her rant and rave but there is nothing i can do because the family will not allow me to. I just want to love him and be with him and it seems that he is better when i talk to him but she says he is lying to me. Can someone advise me on how to help him and get away from the family emotionally
