Scar Tissue

1 Recommendation

Hi, Everyone, I was injured in an MVA about 16 years ago and am a C-6 C-7 partial and T-5 complete. I am looking for some inpute from anyone with passed experiance or knowledge of my situation. About 2 1/2 years ago I had a syrinx decompreesed at C-7. They had told me it could be riskey buy everything went ok other than alot of post op pain. Well for about the last year I have been experiencing a progressing numbness and weakness in my left hand and arm. well I had an MRI done and I saw the surgeon yesterday. He told me I had scar tissue pressing on my spinal cord at c-5. He also told me that without surgery it would probbably get worse. on the other hand he said I could go the other way and end up with more paralysis. Possibly even on a vent! As you can see I have a perplexing decision to make. Any inpute would be greatly appreciated

According to those who teach its use, low level laser has been used in other situations to reduce scarring and speed healing. When used in conjunction with Scenar (or the more advanced Cosmodic), it can apparently remind the body that it has to work on that area to get it operating properly, and it often gets things moving a lot sooner than laser alone. I've tried the combination on some old internal scar tissue myself, and the scar tissue is now smaller in area. Might work for your situation. At least worth looking into. See the disussion in the LLLT topic for more details.
