Quickie Rhythm Power Chair

0 Recommendations

I have become a Quickie Rhythm guy, I now have 3 of them. Does anyone else out there use the Rhythm? Or have any comments and suggestions. I got 1 from a dealer and the other 2 craigslist and ebay. I would like to connect with other power chair users around the world. And if you live in the SF Bay Area in California I would like to meet you.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Diana,

I have 3 chairs cause if one is in the shop and the second one runs out of power I have one that can save me. Also only one I drive in cause of EZ-Lock and chair height. Also I can work on the other chairs when I am sitting on one. Also I got 2 of them really cheap on eBay and Craigslist. Also it makes me feel like I have working legs again (some what)

As my home is being built I live with my parents and can't wait to run my own house hold.

Cheers,
Dan

Hi Dan.

I wonder what you like about the Quickie Rhythm chairs and why do you have three.... Different colors to compliment your wardrobe?
My first chair was a plain, blue Quickie..... not bad, but I need power now since I have bad wrists and thumbs, a screwed up, post-surgical shoulder (from falling so much) and a really kinked up upper back, plus the original injury, a spinal root injury, low at L-3 and lower, caused by a moronic "doctor" on a bad day.
My pain and rehab doctor wanted me to try a scooter, but my tailbone problem flared up on the test drive and I know it won't be good for me. It seems like a chair will be better, as long as it is made for my tall stature... I am 6'2". Perhaps sitting on the low scooter did the damage, and one made for me would work, but when the tailbone pain flares up, it lasts for months.
I can and do walk, though not well, and am in enough pain that it is difficult to do much on any given day. I am about to challenge myself, perhaps a crazy idea, and will buy a property in Boulder Creek and will be setting up a little community for myself, family and friends on three acres. Luckily the areas to be built are flat enough for me to negotiate and easily accessible by car or truck. As long as I can get to the top of the hill and park, I should be okay.
I will need a lot of help to get all the work accomplished, but short of the initial set up of the Yurt kit(s) adding propane and solar, I figure I have the rest of my life to "finish." I am not in a hurry to have it all done and will try to enjoy the process--- every minute of it.
I want to have an accessible garden with raised beds to grow all our vegies and will plant fruit trees, too, since I left mine (with my heart) at my old place when my ex divorced me. He was tired of my pain. Well, that's another story....
I just wanted to say "HI" as I also live in the area.... still in San Jose but not for long. I'm ready to begin my new life!!!

~Diana~
