Hi Amanda
i use to have some very bad pressure sores and were draining more than a lot.I start using a tea made from oak's skin and nothing else.In few days the sores were much better, now i use manuka honey,a very strong antibacterial honey.Try it and you will be surprised.
hi luminita,
I'm glad to see that you are now using Manuka honey for your wound and you're right, it does work wonders. The home health nurse and even the doctor I'm seeing now has seen some great improvement. The next time I go to him though, I'm gonna show him a treatment that the home health nurse told me about, which is Hydrofera Blue. Amanda, if all else fails, try the Manuka honey or Hydrofera Blue. My home health nurse said though that they had to stop the honey treatment on one lady because where the lady has alot of feeling, the honey burns her and they started the Hydrofera.
Where do i get it from? and how do i use it?
thanks for your time
The manuka honey comes in either tube form or square packages and with the square, you can cut it to the shape that you need, just like any other dressing and cover it some gauze roll, gauze sponges and abdominal pads. That's the way they've been doing my dressing with the honey for the past 7 weeks and if you have home health coming in, I'm sure you could ask them for the supplies including the honey and your insurance covers it or they should. If not, then go to www.manukahoneyusa.com or www.hydrofera.com/hydro_blue for the Hydrofera Blue .
Hang in there Amanda...I really hope the responses you got will help you get better...best of luck to ya.
