Hi,

I found a few websites specific to parenting I thought you would find helpful in reference to your question.

Parents with Disabilities Online

Through the Looking Glass

Is a nationally recognized center that has pioneered research, training, and services for families in which a child, parent or grandparent has a disability or medical issue.

Children's Institute Project STAR: Parents With Disabilities Project

I hope these websites are helpful. You may also want to contact your local independent living center as well.

My daughter was a quad who had hand surgery so she almost coul function as a para, chose to be a parent and while she had problems --as her daughter getting on the couch where she couldn't reach her.
She realized she had to have her respond to voice commands as go to your room rather than making her do anything. This was finally worked through and now her daughter is 18 and things worked out very well.

I think you need to believe you can do it. Watch the nanny on tv. The parents don't fight their children after she has been there and they are in control. My daughter had no help other than cleaning
while raiseing her daughter. Her husband had a traveling job and he was gone all week. Blessings to you.

Your right it can be done because I'm doing it!
