Hello all, I know I have not belong to this forum for a long time but I need some help managing some of the side effects of what is left of my back. I am not even sure if I am putting this in the right place but what the heck let's see what happens connot be worse than the other forum I bounced this off on?
I have a rare spinal disease due to a messed up spinal surgery, I have Adheasive Arachnoiditis (AA), unfortunately it also left me with Epidural Fibrosis, lumbar and cervical Spondylosis, post lamenectomy disorder aka FBS with all the side effects with them. I really do not want to get to involved with all the side effects just one that has reared it's little head just recently Neuropathy.
Now I have read up a bit on it and see all the symptoms and some of the cures, unfortunately I do not have insurance at present to see dr. for it. I just really would like it explained in everyday english what to look out for if symptoms get worse and I should have to go to the ER.
I had a nurse on another forum tell me it's due to alcaholism which with the meds I take I would be dead if I was an achaolic, and how I should be off my pain meds and on nurotien or another drug that started with an S and I have been along time ago but they didn't work out for me to help control my pain due to the AA, EF, LS/CS, and the FBS. She actually got me mad because she attached just the one med I am on for pain which is a narcotic. I am not looking for pain meds please, I am looking for bad side effects to a disease I really do not know but is very painful and I already could barely walk and now the pain of this on top of everything else is really getting to me.
I have the pin and needles, bunched up socks feeling at toes freezing cold feet and elecric shocks. now it is starting in my hands also. I have read that this could also bek from diabeties which 2 mth. ago I had all the blood work for and it was fine. Just when I started to finally fell like 5-10% of the pain wasn't as bad now this, no pitty party just need to know facts.
Thank you,
Diane
