I am so afraid! I have the ascites that I had when I was first diagnosed in May 2007. I went through the total hyster, then chemo of carbo/taxol. After completing chemo in April 2008 I went into "remission" only until October of 2008. Chemo the 2nd time was carbo/gemsar. Completed that in late April 2009. My 1st three month checkup in September revealed a CA 125 of 141. Already!!!! Have had the CT Scan, yep it's back. And pretty much in new places (though no major organs yet. I feel unbelivable miserable with this ascites. My chemo starts tomorrow, choice of drug Doxil. I'm so afraid it's not going to work. Anyone out there gone through a third time of chemo with ascites and is doing well? I'm trying to stay positive, but it gets harder each time!
My support to all those going through this with me.
Stay strong!!
