Doxil

I am on doxil and carboplatinum for the past 5 treatments and have 3 more to go and then he plans to keep me on just Doxil for 6 months. At the beginning the burning of hands, feet and pubic region(crotch). the hand and feet peel but I keep cream on them. I sit on ice and put one of the ice packs in my crotch for the night. I also get mouth sores as well. About 10 days after the chemo I run fevers to about 101.7 for about 4 to 5 days and then they stop. I don't take anything for these fevers either. The first time this happened they took all kinds of blood tests and all was negative so I don't get them anymore. This has been happening since I started the drugs. I also get a foul odor to my body for the first 2 weeks after I get the drug. Have a brownish discoloration to my skin if I rub it too hard. The important thing is the drug is working. My CA125 is now 10 after only 5 treatments. Back pain seems to be the rule of thumb as well with me. The therapy is rough but well worth the symptoms. Hang in there and it will get better.
