Yes, I saw that! So empowering to me!
I have already written one letter to one of my sisters who had gotten mad at me when we moved away because my husband was transferred almost 4 years ago and refuses to talk to me. I even was visiting at my girlfriend's house two doors down from her and she wouldn't answer my call to visit...and I had traveled 9 hours! Even as I have ovca, she hasn't responded with even a card! So I wrote her a letter ...for just in case....my husband doesn't even know about it but he would find it if anything happens to me and he can mail it to her. It's a letter of love for her.I have grandparent books that I am filling out for my grandchildren where you can write in about your favorite flowers, colors, special moments when their dad was growing up, etc....but if I live to be 80, I'll still have them for them as they get older. My daughter in law has kept all 5 of the baby blankets I have crocheted for each of my grandchildren to keep for them, and so I went ahead and croceted 4 more just in case....she isn't finished having children...she's a wonderful mother...so I thought I would make some ahead of time for the next ones, and my husband knows where they are...just in case :) Don't get me wrong! I'm not planning on leaving this earth any time soon, but it's always good to have things done ahead of time....so for the next baby born, I won't have to work at getting it done...I'll be ahead of myself!
To think that a little child would even think to do that is just so precious! What a little darling!! I can see God's hand in her life and know He's taking care of her right now, too!
Blessings and hugs!!!
abbaschild...I know how you feel. I am trying to write things too, for my only daughter and my only grandchild. I don't know if this disease will be the end of me, mine is low grade, so my gyn onc feels good about longevity. But we never know. We are in God's hands, and only He knows. This story has just made me cry, and I am at work, I was laughing so much earlier, for the posts in another discussion, about excess hair growth, I know they think I am just out of my mind!
Wow, that is an inspiring article. Now I want to write notes for everyone in my family. I'm an artist and I've already started giving away my paintings to family members who've been admiring a particular one for a long time. It makes me feel good to know they are enjoying them.
Thank you so much for sharing this!
