I have recurrant ovarian cancer. MyCA125 numbers are rising. Has anyone taken Tomoxifen to help slow down the numbers and if so what were your side effects? I have been on this journey since 11/07, Surgerys x3. Taxol and Carboplatin x6 treatments. Left with residual effects from surgerys and chemo. Thank you so much, God Bless

I am on Tamoxifen to try to lower my CA125 as it shoots up after chemo. Started mid August. After 5 weeks my CA125 started to come down gradually so yes, it is working. I did get hot flashes initially but they've gone but I do get really bad hot sweats day and night....but hey.....if it delays more chemo what the heck.....we have to decide which bad bit is the most acceptable!!!! It's definately worth a try. Good luck.
