Thank you for the fast reply.
Have a nice day,

Josee (Rotterdam)

Most of us (75%) are not diagnosed until Stage 3.

I was diagnosed at Stage IIC, confined to one area, the ovaries and the lining. I t was a miracles they found it because I was needing a hysterectomy from newly formed fibroid tumors, had slightly elevated ca-125 blood test and then they found the cancers. If we had waited 6 more months it would have been stage III and incurable, only life extended with chemo treatments etc. I feel very humble and very blessed that it was found early. Most get diagnosed later because symptoms mimic other things happening in your body.

Ok thank you for your reply,

Josee

Hi Mawmaw,
It still confuses me, because I had metastases in the abdominal area, mostly in the omentum but there was a doubt about a spot on the liver, said the gyn.
The onc. dr. said I don'nt know what he is talking about and controled my scan and saw a little spot indeed but thought it would be a cyste. Anyway it should be gone by the chemo. Also there was next to the ovarian tumor of 5x8 inches a lymph node with a tumor.
And still they told me this was ment as a curent treatment. I don'nt know what to think about it.
April I have to see my onc.dr. and will ask him about it but he is a kind of doctor who waves evrything away with a smile. Thanks for your reply

Joah, with the some of the doctors, you just have to press them. You can listen to your own body and know when something doesn't seem right. I am convinced it urges the doctors on to learn more when we ask questions or tell them what we are feeling. For one thing, men don't know all that a woman is going through, completely, unless we tell them. We need to insist that they talk to us and explain things to us, they owethat to us, at least.

Josee Hello, Do you have someone who can go with you when you have the doctors appointment? Sometimes I feel more comfortable and able to be persistant knowing I have a family member or a friend next to me. I know this all is very overwhelming. We are here to help you. Before your next appointment, write down your concerns and give them to your doctor. It helps when you are nervous and can be forgetful, all your questions are in front of you.Best to you and Keep Positive.
