Spotting after menopause and NED

0 Recommendations

Has anyone experienced very slight, and I mean VERY slight spotting. Mom is 3C dx in January 09, surgery, 6 rounds taxol/carbo and was declared NED through Pet/CT scans and normal ca-125. This just started about 1-2 weeks ago. Her doc is not concerned but mom is perplexed! ANy thoughts?

Surgery Hysterectomy Menopause

I have had several times and it turned out to be nothing. It must be common.

Yes! I just had this happen on Saturday. Very, very slight spotting. I had a TAH/BSO for stage 1 borderline in January. I have a call into my doctor, but I can only guess that because they haven't rushed to call me back it must be normal.

I'll post if I hear something different.

Thanks for responding. What does TAH/BSO stand for? My mom's doctor did not have any cocern about the spotting either?

TAH= total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy

Basically just means they leave nothing behind!

I see. My mother had a suboptimal debulking surgery and she is NED right now (almost 3 months out from last chemo). Doc says since there is NED there is no reason to do hysterectomy. I still find that strange that they never did that???
