Funny...odd funny....that I read the post below about zebras. My husband is a physician and over the years he would periodically say, when you hear horses hooves, you don't think of zebras. That's what I reminded him of before I had the biopsy on Tuesday. BTW, the CT yesterday was not good either. I don't want to look at the report and my husband did not want me to either. I see the surgeon(s) next week and we will see if I am able to have surgery or need to do just chemo. This is an amazing thing since my ca 125 was 7, 8 weeks ago and my ct was good then as well. Unbelievable.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

Cancer Surgery

Hey Kim. I am SO sorry that you are going through this. Why was yours staged IIC originally? Had it spread? I agree with you not to read the report...I know your husband is a physician, but we are still just laypersons ourselves, and as my husband is a Paramedic and in the medical field as well, there are things that we know or would understand that others would remain ignorant to, blessedly for them. I was staged IIC as well (I think we've talked before) because of spread to the front of my uterus and rupture during surgery. I was told by three of my doctors (including my GynOnc) originally that it did not look like cancer. It was. I was told recently by my Oncologist that he does not expect me to have to "bother" with this anymore...more recently, I went to a local gynecologist for some "spotting", and find out on Tuesday if my CA-125 has gone up. I have a PET/CT scheduled (annually) for November. It seems this beast never gives anyone a real break. I will be praying for you when you meet with your surgeons. Keep up the good fight and let us know what you find out!

Kim- so sorry about all this. I'm in my first recurrance too. Seems like when you finally get to the point where you dont think about cancer much anymore and are pretty much getting back to normal then..............WHAM!!!!!!..............It's baaaaaaaaaack! Hang in there, we can do this ;)

Kim,

I'm so sorry. My prayers are with you.

Blessings.
