radiating pains on left side of pelvis going down into thigh

0 Recommendations

Hi Girls,
Just wondering what you all think. A couple of weeks ago I had my first 3 month follow-up PET/CT scan and CA-125 for my borderline cancer stage 1C. The PET/CT showed a 3 cm cyst on the left pelvic wall or left ovary with a PET SUV value of 9, which I think is high. My oncologist said it may be because I was ovulating and wants me to come back for an ultrasound in mid July. However, I've had a very spotty, light period now for the past 2 1/2 weeks. It varies from bright red to dark brownish or orangish. I have an IUD in which may be causing some of that, but it finally seems to have stopped a couple of days ago. Then yesterday I started feeling this radiating burst of pain in my left pelvis which sometimes goes down into my upper thigh. It only lasts a few seconds and comes and goes randomly. Should I call and see if I can come back in sooner?

I don't know much, but my gut feeling would be to get seen by your DR ASAP!!

At LEAST call your Dr and describe this to them and ask them what they think. I wish you could get seen soon though.

We never know and it's better to find out than have something happen or be worrying....

I agree. Could be sciatica, could be related to your IUD. Who knows? Better to get it checked out.

The radiating pain sounds like sciatica to me too, but you really need to call your doctor and get to see him sooner rather than later. Don't try to diagnose yourself since you have a lot going on.
