OVAL-BC Study

Has anyone else from B.C. or Alberta been asked to participate in the OVAL-BC Study? They are studying factors that may be related to the development of ovarian cancer.

The B.C. Cancer Agency contacted me and asked if I would be a part of their study. They did a one hour phone interview with questions about my past regarding physical history, family history, nutrition, jobs I have had, places I have lived, etc. They also took a few blood samples I had to get done at a LifeLabs.

They told me that they got my name from the Cancer Registry which I thought was very interesting since the diagnosis on my pathology report was "mucinous borderline tumor of intestinal type, with focal intraepithelial carcinoma" I have heard many people say that borderline tumors are not cancer, but I guess according to the B.C. Cancer Agency and their Cancer Registry they are.
