My latest PET scan showed "positive and suspicious malignancy" but only in 2 areas, quite small. My doctor suggests another CT scan in 2 months. My CA-125 was stable last time at 19.4. I'm nearly 3 years from diagnosis and have been NED. After the first of the year, his office will be getting some kind of "generator" that can "zap" isolated tumors "from afar." This may mean that I wouldn't have to have chemo again. Has anyone heard of this type of machine or treatment? I don't even know what to look up on the Internet? Thanks!

Could this be a Cyberknife? It can give directed radiation therapy.
Or is this Robotic surgery without radiation therapy?

Jan, I am most interested in this procedure your oncologist is proposing. Let us know what you find out. Also I used to live in Marietta, Georgia. My grandparents lived there for many many years. I LOVE Marietta!

I just looked this up and it is probably radiofrequency oblation and it can be used in ovarian cancer. Here is an article on it. I am excited about this and will mention it to my oncologist. Thanks for sharing, Jan!

Radiofrequency? It sounds like a sci-fi movie! As soon as I learn more from my doctor, I'll let y'all know. Thanks so much for sharing this. I see him Nov. 13 and I will ask then. If anyone else has had experience with this, I'd love to hear it! Jan
