New Chemo Drug

Just wanted everyone who is big in research to check out the new drug A6, which is working its way through FDA bureaucracy and should be released for Phase II clinical trial in the next 3-6 months.

The company website regarding this is:

My doctor, who participated in the Phase I clinical trials, said that it showed a lot of promise. Here's hoping.

Always Rejoicing when there are new & effective
treatments

I agree!

Thank you! I hadn't seen this.

Interesting,,for those in remission who have high CA 125's. Sounds like a lot of people some of whom are waiting for the Ca to show to treat. Should have a niche,,will hope it does.

Thanks for posting.

wow, I just read it. Here's hoping

Thank you Minnie. I have bookmarked it but fear it won't come to UK for a long time.

I am on 3rd helping of chemo now- just had the first instalment of doxil with carboplatin. As I have read from favourite Aunt I don't feel this is like chemo as only slightly tired now in week 3 : I wasn't sick and have none of that awful joint pain. Maybe it will get worse with subsequent treatments but I am hopeful.
I believe in planning ahead for the next recurrence and being as prepared as possible so I 'm grateful to anyone who points out new treatments.

BTW my combination was trialled as Calypso and got a good report at the preliminary stage. The final report hasn't been published yet.

I read about calypso and it sounded good. Some seem to tolerate Doxil and others don't. Good luck!
