Morab-003 is in clinical trials with taxol. Has anyone heard of this or been in the clinical trials with this protocal? It is for platinum resistant epithelial ovca.

I am looking into the study but any info you could offer would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks

There are two studies listed listed on the NCI site.
# study
Must have relapsed radiologically within ≥6 and < 24 months of completion of first-line platinum/taxane chemotherapy
Must be a candidate for repeat carboplatin/taxane therapy

# 2 study
Must have relapsed within 6 months of first or second line platinum-containing chemotherapy. At least one of the lines of chemotherapy must have included a taxane.

Hi,
I start a clinical trial on taxotere and morab 003 next week. It is being done in Jupiter Fl. requires resistance or allergic reaction to platinum based drug, evidence of active disease, and a few other simpler "musts". Taking 126 women total I think, could be wrong about that part. You can google this M 003, to find out results that seem promising. The trial is double blind, meaning you have 33.3% chance of getting taxane base with a placebo. 66.6% chance of the "good" stuff. Weekly for 12 weeks, with other ongoing strategies. A plus is that results are supposedly fast if it works, a few weeks.
Cross your fingers I get the "good" stuff and that it works. May be my last hope.
Good luck if you want in too, and be well!

Update:
I have been on this clinical trial since July.
My CA125 started at 976 and no chemo was working.
In 4 weeks my CA125 dropped to 133.
The next time is was 66.5.
The next time 44.7.
This time, one week ago my CA125 is 23.7.
I continue on the clinical trial "until you can no longer tolerate taxol" and on the morab 003 "until your condition worsens".
I am doing well, working and living my life. I do have some slight peripheral neuropathy, and fatigue for 2 days, weight gain due to steroids, and hair loss. Other than that, I am doing fine.
Life is good.
Best,
