Here at Inspire we often use the phrase "Together, we're better". It's our catchy way of saying that we believe in the power of the working together to improve our health and well being. Part of our work involves partnering with organizations that share our belief by supporting research into new treatments and therapies. Schlesinger Associates - one such partner - is currently looking for ovarian cancer patients and caregivers to participate in a study on new ovarian cancer treatments. If you qualify and participate in this study, a charitable contribution will be made to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in your name and you'll be compensated $150 for your time. About the study
- Schlesinger is looking for both ovarian cancer patients and caregivers
- A short telephone conversation will confirm whether or not you qualify
- To participate you'll need only a computer with an Internet connection, and you can participate from anywhere
- The study will take place during the week of August 5th - 12th
- To participate you will simply share your experiences as an ovarian cancer patient or caregiver in an online discussion group

I called in yesterday and was accepted. They told me that actually you would get $200 and there would also be a donation to OCNA.
In the meantime they are especially short on caregiver participation. So if any of you are caregivers or if you are a survivor and your caregiver is interested, please ask them to contact Gloria at 1-866-861-0395.
The study is related to possible new treatments. Participants will be helping the company marketing the new treatment to understand how to best serve their furture patients.

I called in today and was denied, because they said they need more second line survivors and I'm a first line survivor. They told me, as well, that they need more caregivers.
Also they said you need a DSL or high speed internet line, because you participate in a VRT or Virtual Round Table discussion in real time. Apparently, a dial up computer would be too slow - I guess.
Would like to know what treatment option this is about. If anyone finds out let us know.

Hi, I know this is late, but I am looking for some information. My sister had oc and died in December. She fought long and hard, right to the end. she is my hero.
I raised some money and would like to donate it to my community to help women with things they need. Its not much but its a start and I plan on doing this every year. I am looking for someplace or something in Maine. can anyone help me? I would also like to get active with enlightening people of this quiet diease. Please let me know if you can help.
