0 Recommendations

Hi all!! I'm trying to find some young OVCA survivors for a friend of mine. She was diagnosed at 17 and she is 20 now. She has had a hard time trying to find survivors much less women her age who may be going through the same things she is going through...

You can contact me on here or email me:

Thank you to those who have responded. A diagnosis of OVCA is devastating and when you are so young, it brings on another set of issues. My hope is to help her get some comfort from someone who can relate to her particular situation, so thank you!!

I was 26 and now 39! Stage IIIC. Best advise: Attitude is 99% of your recovery. Also a side note, can't prove it for sure but stop using deodorant tampons/pads the deodorant has talc powder which is a knows carcinogen this is from my doctor, so spread the word to all of your family and friends....

Thanks, I appreciate the info!!

Hey, I don't know if you are still looking for other survivors/patients, but I am only 21 (diagnosed this past August) and am currently undergoing chemo. If your friend needs anything, I am certainly around for some cheerleading! Hope all is well!

Hi all, my daughter is 17 years old and diagnosed in August 09 with OVC and is currently getting chemo. She talks with people on facebook and I keep trying to send her new friends especially her age - so if anyone wants to talk to her her name is Brooke Rockey from Bellefonte PA - she doesn't use email much but facebook is her life. I hope some of you young survivors can reach her as I'm so worried about her. She had a complete hysterectomy. Her dr. keeps telling me she won't have a reoccurence and that hers is lowgrade ovarian micropapillary - I'm trying to believe him but I know the statistics and it scares the heck out of me. I'm putting my faith in God to cure her and everyone out there! Anyone can email me to get to Brooke - my email is teapotlover21@msn.com - Thank you all and stay strong. Also I'm currently reading a good book by Chris Bledy - Beating Ovarian Cancer. I highly recommend it to everyone. Brenda
