As some of you may remember, I'm the 11 year survivor of Ovarian Cancer that just recently found out I'm pregnant! I suppose as recently as it could be with only 5 more weeks until I hit my due date.
Just wanted to keep the survivors that may want to get pregnant afterward a little hope. I'm having a son and so far he's perfectly healthy. He's actually measuring a full week ahead and I'm happy to report that the stretchmarks from a baby are far more rewarding than from my terratoma.
Chemotherapy had done a little more damage to my body then I was aware of (losing 10 percent of lung function and a bit of liver damage). However, none of this has detoured me from having the completely normal and regular pregnancy experience I was hoping for.
Thank you, ladies, for always being so supportive and wonderful in this completely new experience. My next update will be when I finally get to meet my little boy. Good luck and I hope that today is better than yesterday and that tomorrow will be exponentially better than today!
