Anyone watching the current season of Law & Order? The female police chief has cancer and is going through chemo. Just saw last night that she was meeting with a gyn oncologist and talking about cisplatnim. They didn't say but I wonder if it's ovarian. Perhaps we'll get some attention on this show!
You know, it's something how so many shows including soap operas are showing cancer in the lives of the people on their shows. Think about it. It's a real part of just about everybody's life...cancer has touched so many people's lives that it's life as we know it now. When Hollywood and NY start having it as part of their every day/week story line...you know it's big! Cancer is growing...it's becoming an epidemic. Scary.
It sure is bring awareness to this disease....to me, it doesn't matter where the cancer is....it's cancer! And it's devastating.
