ivf after cancer

Hey ladies...
just looking for anyone who has had IVF after OVC..I was dx'd with stage 3A borderline cancer a year ago and have had two debulking surgeries... I have a portion of the left ovary remaining and no right ovary...
I have so far done 2 rounds og hormone injections but I am not producing oestrogen and in turn not producing eggs...
anyone had any similar experiences?
I have been on 3x the normal dose of hormones and they are now changing me to a non responsive cycle...

Hi Sandiestar,
I'm really interested to learn this.
I have most of my right ovary left after Stage Iv meta. OvCa. and want to start a family whether or not I escape recurrence, so presently considering IVF for egg harvesting.
I've been worried that the hormones might trigger a growth, but I never thought that they might not work.
Please let me know how it goes, what is a'non-responsive cycle'?

HI Erin,
yeah i have also be worried about the hormones triggering growths... I have my next onc appt next month so will see if anything has happened re the cancer then..
A non responsive cycle is when they give you an alternative drug regime to the norm as i am classed as non responsive to the reg ivf cycle.
