I'm having that familiar pressure--ovulation, according to the calendar. Since going off natural progesterone, my PMS and ovulation-discomfort are worse. I initially went on it because I couldn't get pregnant--and when I did, I miscarried. It totally changed my life for the better. I went off of it, recently, to see if my body still depended on it. Sometimes, after having children, things balance out...and sometimes, the body becomes more imbalanced.
Does anyone have any experience with homeopathy? I've been in touch with a gal who practices this kind of therapy and she said she can help me with the hair loss I've lived with, since I was 18. I know this is also connected to low progesterone, but wanted to do something other than depend on progesterone creams for the rest of my life. I think I need a higher dose to really get my original hair thickness back. It's great when I'm pregnant, of course, and have an insane level of progesterone, from the placenta!
I believe this imbalance might be a factor in female cancers, as well. Most traditional docs will say that isn't true. However, there is plenty of good research out there that says otherwise. But if is doesn't create a profit in the drug industry, it is unlikely that most people will hear about it. The book: What yourDoctor May Not tell you about Premenopause Syndrome--is excellent. The late Dr. John Lee spent his career doing this kind or research. I only wish he lived long enough to study more about OVC. He references breast cancer a lot, but not much is said about OVC. He does talk about problems that happen with the ovaries, when the body is imbalanced, hormonally.
Is there anyone else out there, who is in the 30's, and is having problems with hair loss, PMS, ovulation issues? My mom died from OVC, last summer. That has only added another dimension to my search for answers with my own issues. Naturally, each month when I have discomfort, I get concerned. I know that I'm not my mom, but because of her situation, I sometimes have to battle fear and worry. I have researched this for several years and continue to learn more and more. I'm open to anyone else's experience or advice.
