O M G, MY FEET FEEL 100% BETTER . I am so happy I just had to share this info. I hope this helps someone else too

Ibuprofen Blisters

Thanks for that info. I'll get some of it. I've only had a real problem since after my 5th treatment. I even had to take a 2-week break after treatment 6 before getting #7. I've been using the Udderly Smooth cream, which does keep the skin very soft, but I know what you mean about those red spots turning to blisters. I've even used bacitracin on them until they dry.

The backs of my ankles were so red and burned that during my "break" when they calmed down, the skin just keep peeling. Thankfully they are better now. My hands show signs of dryness, but luckily no red spots or blisters.

Thanks so much for sharing this info. Hope you are doing well on Doxil.

I am on doxil as well. My hands are very very dry. I am constantly rubbing lotion on them but can't seem to soften them up. I wonder if the balmex would work for that. Does anyone know of anything else for dry hands? Thanks for the balmex tip.

Definitely try the Udderly Smooth cream (recmmended by the nurses and given in a goodie bag from the Doxil manufacturer). It definitely keeps the skin very soft and you can apply it as much as you want because it goes right into the skin and doesn't leave a residue after a minute or so. My skin stayed soft on my feet, even with the cracking and peeling. And my hands are still very soft despite dry lines and a little cracking. Try it. It comes in a tube or a jar with a black and white cow design, is available in pharmacies and is very inexpensive. I've gone through a jar and a tube already and always keep it handy. It's also great on elbows and knees.

I did buy the Balmex yesterday because of the recommendation in the earlier post and it does feel good on spots on my feet. Thanks to "moey" for that.

I used ice paks on my ankles and wrists after the first treatment. My Onc Nurse said to take 3 or 4 extra strength ibuprofen 1 hr before treatment which has worked like a charm!! Not problems so far.
