My friend has breast cancer and went to a natural doctor and since it was stage I they believe in using natural treatments. One treatment she is using is Hydrogen peroxide (pharm.grade) drops in her water once a day. It is said it brings extra oxygen to the cancer which in turn kills it. Has anyone ever tried this? does it work?
if you want your body to get to a alkaline state instead of worrying about the water what about certain teas. in the health food store they have alkaline teas. maybe that would help. some are expensive $10 or $20 bucks but nothing near $2000.. i get so mad with people charging outragous amounts to cancer patients for "hope" of a cure. if its a cure then help out people.

The question on Hydrogen peroxide food safe,
I haave not tried it, but just recently read an article
on it. Sounds like something I am thining about trying
after a little more research. I ask my ONC Dr. today
if she had heard about it, she said yes, but a person would have to use one of those machines, in order
to get enough oxygen to work. And that she had
not heard about it being used on OVC. I hope this helps answer some questions about it. I figure anything closer to natural should work.
About a year ago I found this website that offered these water purifier/machine thingy that supposedly can turn the water into alkaline? water and therefore help your body to be more alkaline and fight off so many diseases.
Now I have been to the Mono lake (Yosemite) and have floated in the alkaline enriched water but there were so many flies in the water that I could not bare to drink any of it. OK maybe that's not the same type of water or maybe it is. Those filters/water device; the cheapest was like almost $2000 and the most expensive was like $6000. I couldn't afford it and the cheapest one would last maybe 2-3 years. What is up with that? Of course I didn't get one but the guy claimed I would be cured of my cancer if I got one. Still have his email but his site is no longer up. It didn't surprise me but it did intrigue me. Now with the $6000 he claimed that I could clean my face and body with this water and it would produce amazing results? like clearer skin, less wrinkles. I'm actually loving the idea of getting older so that doesn't bother me at all. I'm more into the idea of drinking alkaline water (with out the flies!)
Currently, I am unable to digest food properly and am unable to absorb vital elements in food (had 1/3 of my intestines removed) but I am taking chewable kids vitamins in hopes that this will work for my nutrition. I'm also hoping that my body will start working again so that I can eat more foods that are good for me. I can't digest any uncooked veggies and no fiber for me!
So does anyone know about getting water to an alkaline state or is this a complete hoax? It sure would be cool if there was such a device.
You can also change your body's PH balance through your diet....if you consult a natural remedies book it will give you an idea of foods you can and cant eat. Of course sugar/processed foods are more acidic which causes your body to be in a more diseased state...dairy products and meats are also acidic. Certain types of fish, fruits and veggies are alkaline. There is a difference in the ph balance of food outside of the body and what it comes once ingested also.
Have heard & read about Hydrogen Peroxide being used... IV

also read about people DYING... when not done properly
it is not soemthing to play with..... just on hear say

After reading the article, I would not consider using hydrogen peroxide. Just from us, those who tried it, did not feel well afterwards.
If you Google search "the one minute cure. the secret to healing" you will find many websites that either sell, praise or pan this $20 book. It has all of the markings of a scam to me. That's just one opinion.

Always discuss these kinds of things with your dr before trying them. He/she should know what you are doing. I did find a link that shows that the American Cancer Society does not believe this will help. the one minute cure. the secret to healing all disease. is the name of the article she sent me. I will read and let you know. Its all so scary but i do believe there are things we can do to help with this disease that our doctors do not tell us or even know about. we do have to put in some leg work. This treatment came from a natural doctor. Thanks for all your replys. thats why i love this place, you hear all sides of opinions. im not sure i will do this, but will let you know after i read this internet book. talk soon
it's kind of an odd theory to me. hydrogen peroxide turns into water and oxygen quite quickly in light or with heat so it just seems that all it would do is make you burp a little if you just had a few drops in water. most of the drops would be water within a few minutes of adding it to water...
I would be very cautious of something potentially so toxic. Not that chemo doesn't carry its own risks! Still, I would do lots of research before embarking on this particular treatment.
I've heard of it but don't know anyone who has tried it. Oxygen does kill cancer cells, but a better way might be deep breathing. I did try a supplement called MMS that was supposed to bring more oxygen to the blood. You're supposed to start off with one drop a day and gradually build up to 20 drops a day. Well, one drop made me deathly ill and that was the end of that.
Stacey, Thanks for the article. I have to believe that if there was a significant biochemical interaction between oxygen and cancer cells, that there would be or has been research to understand the mechanism. Does anyone know of such research?
I thought oxygen feeds the cancer cells. It may be good for the blood, but I don't know about the cancer.
I will look more into this. but appreciate all the imput. She puts a few drops of pharm. grade Hydogen perioxide in her water and drinks it working up to 20 drops a day . I love my doctor but i do believe Dr.s are NOT up to date on Natural treatment/cures/prevention. they know what they do best...Medicine. Like the old saying dont put all your eggs in one basket. there is room for Natural and medicine.
I don't know about the hydrogen peroxide oxygenating the blood thereby killing cancer cells, but I have a friend who has been drinking an ounce of hydrogen peroxide daily for years and he is never sick.
He learned about this from a naturopath. I will have
to ask him why he drinks it and
I would be interested in hearing anything about drinking H2O2 if anyone researches this.
I have been using Hydrogen Peroxide for 20 years as a mouth wash daily. I know that it is not the same as drinking it, but I thought that I would add this to the conversation.
I have looked into the alkalinity issue of the body. I read all the "ads" for the water machines and the "natural" supplements and like others - wish that this would make a difference.
