Cat scans of head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis shows NO signs of cancer. They were all good and clear.
But the CA125 that they keep a close eye on with Ovarian Cancer isn't supposed to be over 35.
My oncologist has dealt with me so long that he can let mine get to 60 before he knows it's time for a new scan and bloodwork.
My CA125 was 455!
He did further checking into my results for possible bone cancer and everything there was good, nothing bad.
They took more blood before we left the office yesterday. I called today and it was 194. Still high, but a whole lot better than 455.
We're gonna do more bloodwork in 6 weeks unless I feel like it needs to be done sooner.
I know a lot of oncologists treat according to #'s, but mine's one that treats by what shows on the scan. He doesn't want to put chemo in someone if there's no cancer showing.

We're all thankful that the scans are all good, but that # has just thrown us off.

Still in remission from stage IV Ovarian Cancer!

Thank You ALL again for being here for me!

Praise God, Dodie, for your good results!

Thanks again so much ladies!

I go back close to the end of July for more bloodwork. I'm feeling good and feel like things will still be good.

Take care & God Bless

Congratulations! Obviously whatever was causing your numbers to rise was not cancer, but something that resolved on its on.

Thanks for sharing your great news Dodie! We need to hear good news as much as possible on this website.
Your oncologist does sound smart about not overdoing chemo, but to wait to use it when it will be most effective. ~AMG

What awesome news! Prais the Lord for your continued healing!

Lisa

Dodie that's wonderful news about the scan. The CA125 is a little weird though. Sometimes when I go on antibiotic for an infection my marker will run higher. Our bodies are strange mechanisms. Carol

Thanks again so much ladies!

I appreciate all of your support through this journey in my life. And I'm glad to have you all right here by my side.

Take care & God Bless

Hoping all goes well with the CA125.
It's good to hear that your other tests are good. I'm happy to hear that you doctor is looking at the whole picture.
Best wishes.

Dodie....Wow.....this is great. I am praising the Lord for His mighty work on your behalf. Enjoy this phase of your journey. Love, and ((HUGS))

Great news Dodie!! I'm so happy for you. I wish you the best of luck with CA125.

I'll be praying for you.

Love,
Esther

Thanks Jennali

I am so glad to hear how well you are doing, Dodie. You certainly deserve it!

Thank you all so much!
I feel so blessed to have all of your support through this. We all need good news more often than we hear it from everyone.

I don't do anything diet-wise. I eat what I want and over the past couple of years I've been eating more veggies and fruits. I tend to stay away from caffine too. I drink a lot of 7-Up.
Health-wise, with my muscular dystrophy and scoliosis I can't do much. I do push myself to keep going though.

I feel good. This time last year gut feeling told me something was wrong and it was. I feel nothing wrong this summer.

I wish you all good results from your doctors.

Take care & God Bless

Dodie,

So happy to hear about your clear scans ! That is great news. And it sounds like whatever was causing your ca-125 to elevate is resolving itself.

This is all so good to hear, Dodie!! You certainly deserve to get some good news.. Keep us all posted!!!

so sorry to hear that. it is hard to know what to do. prayer and giving it to GOD is the best thing we can do, it may not be the easiest, but it is the best. he is awesome, that word should be reserved for HIM, for he truly is awesome, all that he is, all that he does. prayers with you, sherry

Sherry, your news has made my day!!!! What a miracle from God! Thanks for sharing it with us! You are so special to me and I have been praying for you. I have a CA125 this Monday and am praying mine stays steady, too. My youngest sister was just diagnosed with Stage 3 lymphoma and started chemo a week ago and I want to be able to go down and help her out some since she is a single mom with 3 young kids. I have put it in God's hands. It is so good to hear your wonderful news, Sherri!!!
