Do you know about the CaringBridge website

0 Recommendations

My sister told me of a web site called CaringBridge.com It is where you can set up your own page and family and friends can check in to see how you are doing. It is an easier way to let everyone know what is going on with you. You can tell your story, keep a journal, and friends and family can leave you a note in your guest book. Check it out, it is free and you design your own page.

It was a lifesaver for me when I was going through treatment.

Love love love CaringBridge!!!

Really helps you get thru! Start one today, or have you sister do it. My sister did it for me. WHen I was in the hospital, my family would print out the posts and bring them in to read to me, very uplifting!

GOd Bless,
Nikki

I still have my caring bridge site and update occassionaly. It was very encouraging to read people's posts, and I also wanted my journey documented.

I have had mine going for 10 months now. My family and friends really loved it - I would journal often when going through treatment and they always knew what was going on..........it helped a lot to read their encouraging posts too. Plus - as mentioned, I wanted my journey documented.......it is a great site, and service :)

I started my Caring Bridge web site right after my diagnosis, nearly 3 years ago. I have friends and family around the world and this was the best way to keep them up-to-date on everything. And their messages to me were so helpful. I've written a book based on my Caring Bridge journal. And you should know that a Newsweek editor once credited his Caring Bridge web page for saving his life when he had cancer.

Thank you so much for letting us know about this site. I'm going to start mine right now!

Blessings to all.

I had never heard of it until a friend's 5yr old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor this past June. It has been a wonderful way to receive daily updates on Kate and their family especially since they live across the country. Thanks for mentioning this site--hopefully it will help others.

I belong to CarePage - it is the same as Caring Bridge. My daughter set it up when I was first diagnosed. It is wonderful and a great way to keep family and friends advise of what is going on.
It is http://www.carepages.com/

LOVE caringbridge! My friend built my home page while I was in debaulking surgery. It has been a great time and life saver. No need to "retell" story to every well-wisher and allows people to communicate support without the bother of a phone call.

I must be in the minority, but I've been blogging for awhile. I absolutely hate the way CaringBridge is set up. The print is way too small, the usability is really poor. But, I admit to being really biased about this as usability was my career.
