Has anyone noticed stools getting black after their 1st chemo. My daughter had carbo/taxol IV yesterday and has done great, but she noticed her stool looking really dark and thought it might mean something.
Thanks much.

Ask the chemo nurse. Unless it is blood, probably nothing to be alarmed about. My urine has a very strong odor after chemo.
Glad to hear she did well !
HI, yeah,,after carbo/taxol I had really dark to black loose stool the second to third day after chemo. They say that when it is black and like coffee grinds its blood, and something to worry about, but I had black loose stools that were just a side effect of chemo. Icky but not dangerous. Ask the doctor if youre really concerned. Take care
Mine were dark and hard and I think it was from the constipation and the chemo. I was checked and it was not blood.
You should report it and have it checked out. It can be from bleeding ulcers, either in the esophagus or stomach, or duodenal, caused by the chemo.
