I recieved my 2nd chemo yesterday. And spent a wonderful afternoon with a beautiful super brave young lady of 16 named Anna Marie.. She was dx inAugust of 2008 with stage 3 cancer..She had her left ovary removed and was having her last chemo yesterday....What a fantastic young woman.....Her mom stays right with her at all times..She seems to have chemo over a period of 3-4 days...Has much trouble with the nausea and vomiting but she never complains...Very upbeat .She attends school when she can and has spoken to a number of he classmates about her condition.Has assured them that ovarian cancer is very rare in the young, but they should be aware of thier bodies at all times,a thing that most of us are gulity of not remembering usually until it too late..This young girl just starting her life is an inspritation to all..When I'feeling not so hot I will think of her........Her mom told me the Dr. says he is 99% sure that she is going to be cured...Please fellow ov surviors lets all pray and hope this is true for her Bonn

Glad to hear she's so strong at such a young age.

We've all got to be fighters!

Kelly, thank you so much for your response, this young woman was trully an inspiration to me....I think of her often Yes I too have heard of some very young victims of the horrible horrible disease......Its just seems to incredible to believe.....May we all keep the faith together in our fight against this....

Dear mom anderson...Thank you for yourcommets about this young woman...You are so very active on this sight which I am so grateful for..I mostly like to read how everyone is dealing with their problems...Once in a while I hope when I say something it will be meaningful to someone....I am scheduled for one more treatment, next month...after that as you well know is the unknown....I just want to say how much I enjoyed your new picture with your grand child, you look so very very happy.......Thank you for your friendship

I heard of a case the other day of a one year old being dx. I'm sure that's extremely rare, but how awful is that?

when I read this post it made me so sad. But I pray that she can be cured. That is so scarey to think someone so young could contract this horrible disease. How are you doing? I guess you are 2/3 way through if you are on the 6 treatments, one every 3 weeks regime. I hope you are doing well.

The poor baby. I'm 35 and it's hard to deal with but 16? OMG I don't think I could have handled it at that age. She is so brave.

What a blessing to have met this young lady, she sounds extrdinary to say the least. I'm so happy she has a 99% chance of living a normal life..I will keep her in prayer that she spends many more years living her life..~~~Joanne
