Most of the pouch manufacturers will send you free samples, they are listed on the internet. Also there is a company in Florida that will sell colostomy, ostomy etc supplies at well bellow retail.

RLH58 - here is the address for Coloplast samples - I just ordered some today. Am having good results from Convatec Natura (they sent me 10 barriers and 10 pouches when I asked for samples - but it never hurts to try something new.

i, too have received free samples from many of the companies who sell Ostomy Products. The usually send a good amount of samples. If I get some that I am not interested in using (changing from my usual) products, I gather them up and put them in a box for distribution to others who do not have Insurance and cannot afford some of these products. We have meetings once a month of my local UOAA group and they give these extra samples to anyone who needs them. It seems to help me and also others. I am sure these companies to not want you to ship any thing back to them and this is a good way to give what help we can to others. So do not worry about what to do with the samples or any extra products you have stored up take them to your next meeting or contact a UOAA group and donate them to this group, for distribution.

I am sure there are those who will appreciate it.

Does anyone out there use the Coloplast closed pouch? I like it because it is small. I do try to clean it out so I can get extra usage from it, too. It all depends on the consistency of my stools, though. Any helpful hints? Thanks

Try the Marlen system, with face plate etc.
