Going to Cancun and plan to swim & sun bathe. Not worried re:swimming as I have had some wonderful tips. However, not too sure about sun bathing. No problem with a suit but will the hot weather loosen ileostomy bag? I also am thinking of going to a tanning booth to get a head start. Should I be concerned with the heat and my friend "stella the stoma'?

I did not have a problem sun bathing or using the tanning booth. If the stoma started feeling too hot I would just rest my hand over it to block the sun and shade it. I did not have a problem with the tanning booth or tanning bed either. I hope you have a wonderful vacation, enjoy enjoy enjoy.

The heat should not affect it, but the humidity could. I had to change ileostomy wafer daily on a 7-night cruise, due to humidity. It was constantly moist. Sitting in the warm sun really helps. take extra supplies, just in case!
