I didn't know how long it had been since I've been on here. I don't know how time gets away the way it does when it is such a precious commodity.
I suppose part of it is just the busy part of life. I have to adopt/gain guardianship of my daughter now she is 18 and considered a ward of the state instead of my child.
It's going to be a busy few weeks. Pre-op on the 4th, Court on the 9th, surgery 10th, post-op 11th...then in Mid-November or towards the end, we are going to do the other shoulder. Pushing it close together; but, the doctor will be leaving which will leave me without one to do the work. There is one surgeon in town but I won't use him. I've had two botched surgeries already, don't need a third!! I can't wait to get my shoulders put back together!!!!
Lately, I haven't been able to get enough water which is strange. I drink a lot of water because I do stay dry, and I drink a lot of tea. But, this is different, I've been drinking around 16-18 cups a day. I try to sip on it and end up gulping it down and finishing off the ice. I better get my fluid pills refilled.
Well, I have more e-mails to get to. One of the children in the Organic Acidemia group I belong to passed away. So sad when it is children and they have such trials with their health and they are so brave that it makes me ashamed everytime I get an IV stick thinking about my child not even making a face and the rest of the children the same way.
One child on way to transplant told his mother "I'm so sick, but I'm happy!" By the way, he is doing well, a little walking miracle.
I hope that this finds everyone doing well.
I got rid of my Plaquenil. I decided that it is going to be better to handle things as they come up. I don't think the risk of side-effects out-weigh any possible benefits. I've talked to a number of people who are like me, not felt any benefit or seen improvements in taking it. But, then I don't have a severe problem with either one and the worst have been easily treated and quick to get over as far as inflammatory stuff. A steroid pack or shot, etc.
Blessings,
Penny
