Oral Fixation

0 Recommendations

Is the oral fixation my grandson has:

1. always having something in the mouth
2. tasting the floor, walls, toys, everything in sight

more with him because of the acidemia or is it just the normal growing process in all children?.

I think it might be a normal thing that most kids do. However, I believe that with my daughter, her oral fixation had an opposite affect - she never put much in her mouth at all ... especially food. She's been tube fed since she was 18 months old....she has gradually accepted things like a toothbrush and solid foods more as she has gotten older.
Hope that helps.
