I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy this past monday (the colon part because of having severe diarrhea for weeks), then before we started the procedure my dr asked if he could add on an endoscopy last minute to check out my stomach) The colonoscopy was fine, but the endoscopy he said I have a major bile back up in my stomach (hence why i'm vomiting bile again lately) I looked at the scope pics and all u can see is bile no stomach lining at all...Anyways I've had a J-tube (just a J-tube) directly into my intestine, he scoped far enough down where he could see the tube in the intestine, and to him it all looked twisted (my intestine or the tube??) and that the tube my be too large for my intestine. Today I saw him cuz I'm still vomiting and he said he's sure my j-tube is obstructing my small bowel causing the diarrhea and vomiting and bile back up, I only take clear liquids by mouth and he changed my formula for my tube from Osmolite 1 cal to Perative 1.3 (which is pre-digested/broken down already) Has anyone had this problem w/ the tube obstructing, he said I might need a diff. type of j-tube I don't know what he meant by that, I have to have a small bowel foolow thru barium thing on tuesday top confirm the diagnosis so the surgeons can fix it I guess..I'm confused and concerned.
