IS THIS AFFECTING YOU OR YOUR CHILD?
Hello, my name is Shannon
I am 29yrs old and have been living with an unknown motility disorder, for 15 yrs now. I have a GJ tube, that feeds me into the intestines and it allows me to drain my stomach contents. (I used to vomit 10-20x per day)
I have a hard time tolerating certain formulas. In fact the only formula I have had any success with is Peptinex DT (tolerating up to 1400cal/day. After Novartis and Nestle merged, they discontinued the Peptinex DT formula. Claiming that there Peptamen ProBio1 is the replacement.
This replacement formula is vanilla flavoured with artificial sweetener. My tube enters into the intestines... I don't need to taste it, nor do I want the side effects of putting artificial sweetener directly into my intestines.
I have tried ALL of Nestle's formulae, I can only tolerate 600-800 cal/day if I use any of the Peptamens, Vivonex or Tolerex formulae.
IS THIS AFFECTING YOU OR YOUR CHILD???
If it is please post a response, or email me at shannoncurran@rogers.com. I am collecting stories and taking it to Nestle.
From what I can tell, I think it is the ingredient Casein (found in Peptinex DT), which replaces the Whey Protein ingredient (found in ALL of Nestle's Product.
What happens is they break down the milk protein into either Whey Protein or Casein. Peptinex DT is the only formula containing Casein, instead of Whey Protein.
How would Nestle respond if we were asking them to bring back the KitKat bar? Replace it with a Coffee Crisp?
