So, Sam's Oncologist and I talked tonight. She does not have any more information on what Sam's next course of treatment will be. She is waiting for one more doctor's advise.
She also wants to know if we (Sam, myself and his dad) to decide if we want Sam to try some form of medication with or without side effects, or do we want Sam to be comfortable and to be able to enjoy life. I told her I wanted in between.
There are new medications Sam can try, but there are no guarantees.
Sam is probably going to have the procedure tomorrow to drain his kidney, but then again, with that there are no guarantees that it will help with Sam's back pain.
His Oncologist is so AWESOME and she said that she will never give up on Sam. Everyone who has a diagnosis of MPNST reacts to the cancer differently as do people who are on medication (chemo and such).
