If you search the net and this site you will see many articles about nf1 or nf2 and propolis/bio 30. There was a discussion on it here earlier this week. This isn't new. People have been trying the product since June 2007 when the original article first hit the media. That article or strikingly similar ones have been popping up in Natural Health Magazines and blogs ever since. The actual science was finally peer reviewed and published in August of 2008.

Cindy, do you have a link for the findings of the peer review? I would like to know if the research has been validated or not. thanks.
Peer review simply means that it was reviewed and deemed appropriate for publication. It does not mean that the work was replicated. http://www.library.illinois.edu/alx/peer.htm
Other than that, I'm not quite sure what you mean by validated? Even peer review has many limitations and flaws. That said, I was happy that Dr. Maruta's work was picked up for publication simply because prior to that there was some lingering skepticism on the BBs about Dr. Maruta's qualifications/motives etc. Lay folks seemed to forget that he had done a far bit of tumor work...including at the Ludwig Cancer Institute in Australia, or that this propolis stuff actually represented a collaboration with other researchers who are also known in the NF community. It was helpful for folks to be able to refer to the abstract online. That said, keep in mind that the propolis studies (both the one involving bio 30 NZ propolis and the Brazilian Green) are mouse studies. You may see mention of a human "trial" but at this point this is in reference to an informal "trial" (for lack of a better word) that is really more of a personal experiment....people who want to try the propolis are buying it (at a slightly reduced rate but with shipping costs) and are answering the occasional questionnaire. This is not a formal clinical trial where tumors would be measured and recorded with some criteria and consistency. Until the product is picked up for FORMAL clinical trials---and who knows when that might be?... if ever---only then will we know with any certainty one way or the other. I don't think anyone is questioning the mice studies...its just that things that are helpful in mice do not always play out the same for humans. The NF and Lovastatin studies are possibly a prime example of that. Simply put, whether this has possibilities for humans needs further study.
Not sure what links you have seen...here are some. Note: Some of this has received funding from the U.S. Department of Defence. The last link is the entire published article that appeared in the Phytotherapy Research Journal in the UK.

I don't think it's a cure, but because of this site, I'm trying it. I went to the Vitaman store and the clerk said...... "we have had a HUGE run on this product over the last several weeks" So, the word is out that it MAY shrink tumors.
I just started taking it yesterday, I'll let you know.

Word of warning, these pills................have an awful aroma.
That is not at all the same product that was found to shrink tumors in NF mice and I doubt it has the required active ingredient. Not all propolis is the same.
