Need info about Dr. Weinberg for NF1 ?

Hi Everyone,

My aunt is suffering from NF1. She has bumps all over her body including face. I would like to get some cosmetic surgeory done on her face to get her some relief. Can anyone pls tell me if they have gone to Dr . Weinberg for treatment and how has been the treatement...did it helped to look your face better and did the bumps grow back again after his treatment?

We are in India and we have no NF doctor here who can help us treat her face here. Pls help

I have been several times. As far as I'm concerned he is a miracle worker. Don't get me wrong. It wont be like you never had anything but it lowers the profile a lot. He only does one side at a time but hundreds and in my case multiple hundreds at a time. I did the front and went back and had the back of my body done. It does wonders for self esteem.

I've been to him twice. He's a wonderful man. It's really not a cure, but just a fix - something that will probably need to be done on and off, once I reach a certain point - he has not done my entire body. Just the face, neck, one of my arms and hand. I have tons of bumps on my trunk that I'm not sure his procedure would be able to handle well - they are big. But I do know he can take of those, too. Right now, I'd rather him focus on the visible - it's not as much a vanity issue as it sounds. My neck used to itch something awful, and the ones on my face would get infected.

Im currious as to how much it all cost (if you dont mind me asking) and if insurance covered any of it? Do you have any before and after pictures? Thanks! I love this site!
