google national cancer institute and then type in what you are looking for. Same with the National Health Institute.
www.nih.gov

I have participated in two NF study's at N I H and had a very good experience with it.

Not sure if you are interested or not, yet this study from a quick search today is still open. Read up on it at the following link.

http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00111384?term=neurofibromatosis&rank= 5

The above study takes place in Bethesda, MD, while others occur all of the U.S. There are also NF studies to research too.

I believe that a participants parents must still be living and be willing to donate a blood sample done locally in order to participate in the study.

That study has been going on for many years, and yes, to qualify both parents must be living. My mother passed away 26 years ago, so I can't be considered for the study. My father is still alive, and I also have two brothers who do not have NF (spontaneous mutation here). If they ever open the study to patients with one living parent, I will be the first in line.
